yin

Yin / Restorative

These two styles of yoga stem from different philosophies of energy flow through the body. Yin takes inspiration from the Traditional Chinese Medicine system of Meridians, while restorative is firmly rooted in the yogic system of the subtle energy body.

Both styles are focused on stillness and long holds using props to support the body and promote deeper relaxation, allowing the deeper connective tissues to lengthen and open up.

No prior knowledge is needed for this class.

hatha

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga, as one of the fundamental practices of yoga combines the study of asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) with a focus on proper technique and alignment of the body.

In this class you will deepen your understanding of the asanas or postures, learning how to move into them safely and how to soften or engage through different parts of the body to gain the full benefits of the pose.

This style of yoga is recommended for beginners as it will give you a firm foundation in the basic tools of a yoga practice.
